Kabbalat Shabbat: Shabbat Shuva Services

September 30 @ 6:05 pm - 7:05 pm

Shabbat Shuva marks the Shabbat between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur — the only Shabbat to fall within the 10 Days of Awe.

As we are taught, on Shabbat we try to become attuned to holiness in time.  Temple Beth Israel offers these varied, inspiring, joyful, and soulful Shabbat worship experiences so that we can share in that holiness together.  All services can be accessed both in person in the Lorge Sanctuary or via our livestream.

Kabbalat Shabbat – A Simple Shabbat Service

When I observe Shabbat, I feel the presence of the Divine (Ibn Ezra, Siddur Sefard)

This simple service offers a chance to pray the Shabbat liturgy, surrounded by our community and accompanied by piano or guitar.  This Service includes a story, sermon, or teaching. These Fridays begin with Services at 6:05 pm.
