Kabbalat Shabbat: A Simple Shabbat Service – Pink Shabbat

October 28 @ 6:05 pm - 7:05 pm

Sharsheret Pink Shabbat is designed to educate women and men about the increased risk of hereditary breast and ovarian cancer among Jewish families, the measures they can take to protect their health, the impact of breast and ovarian cancer on the Jewish community and Sharsheret’s resources.

As we are taught, on Shabbat we try to become attuned to holiness in time.  Temple Beth Israel offers these varied, inspiring, joyful, and soulful Shabbat worship experiences so that we can share in that holiness together.  All services can be accessed both in person in the Lorge Sanctuary or via our livestream.

Kabbalat Shabbat – A Simple Shabbat Service

When I observe Shabbat, I feel the presence of the Divine (Ibn Ezra, Siddur Sefard)

This simple service offers a chance to pray the Shabbat liturgy, surrounded by our community and accompanied by piano or guitar.  This Service includes a story, sermon, or teaching. These Fridays begin with Services at 6:05 pm.
