2nd Friday: Shabbat Koleynu – Our Voices (Mental Health Shabbat)
February 11 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
As we are taught, on Shabbat we try to become attuned to holiness in time. Temple Beth Israel offers these varied, inspiring, joyful, and soulful Shabbat worship experiences so that we can share in that holiness together. All services can be accessed both in person in the Lorge Sanctuary or via our livestream.
2nd Friday: Shabbat Koleynu – Our Voices
We called to the Eternal One who listened to our voices. (Num. 20:16)
Mental Health Shabbat: Hope and Healing for the Spirit
We are living in difficult and uncertain times. Many of us have struggled with mental health challenges, and yet we may feel alone as we confront these issues. Although we can change little of the world around us, we can build up our resilience and our ability to adapt to and cope with our situation. We can also learn to recognize and understand the mental health needs of members of our community and help support these individuals.
On Friday evening, February 11, we will enhance our worship and provide support for our community as we observe our first Mental Health Shabbat. This will be a 7:30 PM Shabbat service. We encourage all our congregants to attend this service, whether in person or online.
